This is the year 1008, maybe 1010. A group of people is clearing the way towards what is today known as Isère. Women are accompanied by children; men at arms are riding their horses, while others are leading their pigs, goats and cows in a great fuss. They have put what they need to live in carts. This adventure will lead them to the wooded shores of Paladru Lake. Who are these farmer-knights?

This group is dedicated to gardening, especially medieval gardening. Extant written and artistic references, study and theory, but mostly practical application to re-created gardens, how to build them and how to grow them.

Most, if not all, spices have existed from time immemorial . But that does not mean that everyone, in all times, used or had available all spices. Each culture and era has its own specific selection of spices, or "Spice Chest" .

Curren tly includes: a late Roman spice Chest; a Norse spice chest; a medieval and renaissanc e German spice chest; a Russian spice chest; and constructi ng your own personal spice chest.
