The book was embroidered and translated by Princess Elizabeth, and was as a gift to Queen Katharine Parr, Henry VIII's last wife and Elizabeth's stepmother. It is bound in blue cloth and embroidered with silver thread. Katharine Parr's initials appear in the center of the cover.
