East

The East Kingdom of the SCA has a nascent fiber arts guild. Topics covered are varied and diverse. We are spinners, knitters, weavers, naalbinders, dyers, felters and others and we're interested in flax, wool, cotton, silk, hemp and nettle. And if you're carving spindles and you want to talk to people who would use them, you're welcome too!

Encourages study, teaching and practice of medieval herb uses, as well as study of medieval apothecary and pharmacy practice, in the East Kingdom.

This is a discussion group for Medieval and Renaissance Knitting and to discuss forming an East Kingdom Guild for Knitters.

The East Kingdom Metalsmiths' Guild is dedicated to the study and teaching of all the metalsmithing arts and sciences: blacksmithing, smelting, casting, working in various metals, jewelrymaking, glassblowing, glass lampworking (beads, etc.), and the like.

Explores and practices period techniques of divination.

The discovery and practice of the Arts and Sciences related to working in metal, whether the most delicate filigree, or a grand thunky chunk of steel.

The embroiderers' guild of the East Kingdom. Provides an active forum for those involved in researching and creating embroidery as done in the pre-seventeenth century world.

Resources concerning the reproduction and recreation of what we call "scrolls," award documents honoring Society members' deeds and services, in the style of illuminated books and documents.

Aligned study of the Renaissance (c.1450-1650) throughout the Known World for the enrichment of its members and for the benefit of the SCA.
