Nefs

Illustrati ons and extant examples of nefs, a sort of table-orna ment shaped like a boat or a ship. Some were used either purely for decoration ; to store table-line ns or eating-ute nsils; or to hold some sort of condiment or beverage; there are even a few clockwork nefs.
