The following is a brief descriptio n of some different styles, designed to give the SCA newcomer an introducti on and is by no means complete.

Two patterns extrapolat ed from period depictions of one common style of martial surcotte seen (with variations like hem length) between the 12th century and the mid-14th century in Europe. Experience d drafters can adapt them to their own dimensions and proceed as they wish.
